Learn How To Build Muscle And Lose Fat

 One of the absolute biggest goals that people interested in fitness want to learn is how to build muscle and lose fat.  The trouble is that these can be contradictory goals if you don’t go about it in the right way.  It takes a lot of careful planning to get where you want to be.

The first thing you should realize is that it’s not just exercise that contributes to bulk. You also need to take in enough calories to sustain the amount of muscle you’re trying to build.  As we all know, increasing your calories also means increasing your fat.

If you try to eliminate too many calories from your diet, you won’t be able to gain any muscle!  It’s easy to see why frustration can set in while you feel like you’re at a standstill.

The trick is cycling through fat burning mode and muscle gaining mode at the exact right times.  Here’s a big hint, the timing is different for everyone.  This will take some trial and error and a lot of hard work but you can see some pretty fast results.

What you need to do is spend a lot of time burning fat. This will mean cutting down drastically on calories and eating mostly fresh foods like fruits and vegetables.  Don’t drink sodas or eat fatty snacks or anything like that.  Do a lot of cardio exercise during these periods as well.

Now, you also need periods of time where you bulk up your muscle.  You have to cycle into a heavy eating mode with a lot of calories, including eating a lot of protein.  Your weight training takes top priority as you build the muscle you want.  Be careful to rest in between because your body needs time to repair and bulk.

Pay close attention to how your body reacts during these periods.  There will be times where you want to give up, but it’s important that you keep pushing if you want to find the best method of how to build muscle and lose fat for you.

The one sticking point you really need to get through your head is that if you’re constantly in weight loss mode you won’t get to the large size you want.  Muscle feeds on calorie.  If you’re doing too much cardio and not eating enough your body will start to cut down on your muscle since the fat is not there.
