How To Put On Muscle- Getting Started For Massive Gains

 Learning how to put on muscle is a challenge. There is literally a sea of information out there about what to do and what not to do, so it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.  If you want to put on muscle fast, it’s best to get back to basics. 

One of the most important steps is getting stronger.  Sure, it sounds easy enough but if you’re not increasing your strength you certainly won’t be increasing your muscles.  Weight lifting with free weights on on machines can make a huge difference.  Get yourself on a professional workout routine so you know exactly what to do.

Now, don’t just go and try to be a hot shot at the gym and imitate the body builders you’ve seen in magazines and on TV.  For one thing, they’ve been doing this for years.  More importantly, your body can’t handle the kind of stress that theirs can until you build more muscle.

When you first get started learning how to put on muscle you should work your whole body.  You need to strengthen your core before you’re able to focus and isolate individual muscles.  Do focus attention on building up the strength of your legs and abs since they are the supports you’ll need for the rest of your muscle training.

A classic newbie mistake is working out too much.  Suddenly, you get the idea in your head that you want to become massively ripped so you become determined to work out day and night.  Don’t do it!  It’s only after you have a great workout and rest that your muscles get big.  They need time to recover, so limit your workouts to two or three times per week to start with.

It’s also important to make sure you’re eating enough.  Muscles need calories and protein in order to reach their full potential.  Don’t expect to eat nothing to lose weight and then think you’ll get ripped at the same time.  It just doesn’t work that way, unless you’re going to cycle your calories.

As you learn more about how to put on muscle and how your body reacts to your routine you can tweak it along the way.  The important thing is that you understand the basic mechanics of muscle building and then you can finally get the body you want.
